Required Prerequisites:
- Extensive experience with cellular records and cell site lists
- Extensive casework experience with cellular records
- Proficiency in your analytical tool (CASTViz, CellHawk, etc.)
Description:
This course is 3-days and includes ACRA + HIRR
ACRA:
This 2-day advanced level course builds upon the information and concepts covered in CTRA, along with the attendee’s experience and casework with historical cellular records. The course takes a deeper look at cellular technology, network architecture, Timing Advance (TA), provider records, and cell site lists.
HIRR:
This 1-day advanced level course builds upon the information and concepts covered in the earlier levels, along with the attendee’s experience and casework with historical cellular records. Attendees will learn how to generate an effective report and demonstratives based on their analysis of cellular records. They will also learn about relevant case law, the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, and the Federal Rules of Evidence, pertaining to expert witness reports and testimony. Attendees will learn how to conduct a proper technical review (peer review) and ensure that one is being completed on their report(s).
Important Information:
This course in not an advanced CellHawk course. The course is software agnostic. Attendees must be proficient in their analytical tools as no software support will be provided.
