Description:
This three-day intermediate course gives investigators and analysts a comprehensive understanding of how cellular providers operate, the records they produce, how to legally obtain them, and how to put them to work in an investigation. Taught in CellHawk, it pairs lecture with substantial hands-on exercises analyzing real-world data — covering cellular technology and network operation, the legal process and considerations, provider records and cell site lists, Timing Advance and estimated handset location data, mapping and records analysis in CellHawk, and basic report writing and records presentation.
You’ll leave able to obtain and interpret cellular records, analyze and map them in CellHawk, and present your findings clearly.
You do not need access or a license to CellHawk to take this course.
