Three CellHawk courses, from Level I - Entry Level through Level III - Advanced.

Courses

  • Level I - Entry Level

    CellHawk Basic (CB)

This two-day course provides a comprehensive review of CellHawk and its features. Delivered live online with plenty of hands-on instruction, attendees learn to load records from the major telecommunications providers and use them to further their investigations — working through the Leads Toolbox and phone look-up, provider records and retention, filtering, mapping, the ping listener, pattern and commonality analysis, and reporting.

You’ll leave able to load and organize records in CellHawk, filter and map the data, surface patterns and commonalities, and produce clear reports.

    Prerequisites: None.

You do not need access or a license to CellHawk to take this course.

  • Level II - Intermediate

Cellular Technology, Records, and Analysis (CTRA-CH)

This three-day intermediate course gives investigators and analysts a comprehensive understanding of how cellular providers operate, the records they produce, how to legally obtain them, and how to put them to work in an investigation. Taught in CellHawk, it pairs lecture with substantial hands-on exercises analyzing real-world data — covering cellular technology and network operation, the legal process and considerations, provider records and cell site lists, Timing Advance and estimated handset location data, mapping and records analysis in CellHawk, and basic report writing and records presentation.

You’ll leave able to obtain and interpret cellular records, analyze and map them in CellHawk, and present your findings clearly.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of CellHawk Basic (recommended).

  • Level III - Advanced

Tower Dumps and Area Searches (TDAS-CH)

This three-day advanced course builds on the concepts covered in CTRA, taking investigators and analysts deep into the legal process and practical analysis behind tower dumps and area searches. Using CellHawk and addon software, attendees work through the legal considerations, raw records, and proven analysis methods for both tower dump and area search cases. The program is heavily hands-on, with practical exercises that turn dense provider data into investigative results.

You’ll leave able to navigate the legal process for tower dumps and area searches, work confidently with the raw records, and apply sound analysis methods in CellHawk to produce defensible results.

    Prerequisites

    • Successful completion of CTRA or comparable training (highly recommended)
    • Working knowledge of cellular records and cell site lists
    • Working knowledge of CellHawk
