This entry-level course gives investigators, analysts, and attorneys a practical foundation in tower dumps and area searches — what each one is, how the two differ, and how to leverage the resulting data in an investigation. Taught software-agnostic using freeware only, it covers search warrant construction, the legal considerations behind each technique, location selection and strategy, and how cellular provider records factor into your approach. Attendees leave ready to scope and request an efficient, effective tower dump or area search.
You’ll leave able to tell a tower dump from an area search, construct a sound search warrant for each, and choose the locations and strategies that produce usable results — with no premium software required.
